Personal:

I'm married with four children.  I run with a group called the Bingham Butt-Kickers, a really fun group of people that gets me out running early on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and sometimes Saturdays.   I recently found out that I've been running with poor form for many years, which has probably contributed to some nagging aches and pains I've had for years.  One of my big goals now is to be able to run with better form and to have running feel more effortless.  I hope this won't take too many years to achieve!

My "eclectic" day again--a little of this, a little of that.  I read in the latest Runner's World that walking backwards has benefits, so I tried that on my treadmill.  That takes a lot of concentration and I fell off a couple of times.  I then walked forwards a little, then ran a little.  Then later I went to the Rec Center and did 15 minutes on the stair master, then ran a few laps on the track.  A nice workout day.

I almost fall down going forward on a treadmill so I'm sure I'd fall down going backwards. I use to be pretty good at basketball when I was young but I haven't played with our Stake for about 3 years now because they don't play until 9pm and that is my bedtime.

I walk backwards not on the treadmill, it is easier!!!

Have a great weekend Cheryl!

Nancy--my stake plays basketball around 9 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So that's why I don't get up early on Wednesdays and Fridays. It's a lot of fun, I like it a lot.

Kelli--how often do you walk backwards? You did really well the other day (Thursday), running 7 minute miles.

I actually just do it when I run slower runs with other people. I have heard it is good for you, but I just do it for fun here and there. It is tricky!

People at the gym are always walking backwards on the treadmill on a major incline. It must do something!

Oh, and thanks! Those miles in the 7's were HARD!!!! I was on the verge of losing breakfast. Wait, I did not eat breakfast, so i guess I would have lost the dinner from the night before! ANYWAY, it was HARD. That was a great workout you put us through.

Cheryl I've never walked backwards on the treadmill. I'll have to try it sometime with Kelli, 2 crazies won't look as bad as one :) I think Fridays are the best day to get out and just kinda do all the stuff we miss during the week! The long Saturday run always warrants a non-running Friday for me.
