Personal:

I'm married with four children.  I run with a group called the Bingham Butt-Kickers, a really fun group of people that gets me out running early on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and sometimes Saturdays.   I recently found out that I've been running with poor form for many years, which has probably contributed to some nagging aches and pains I've had for years.  One of my big goals now is to be able to run with better form and to have running feel more effortless.  I hope this won't take too many years to achieve!

I met the biking group at 6:00.  Last week, Debbie was on her mountain bike and got way behind.  I let her use my road bike today, and I used Michael's, and she was able to keep up and even finished before me.  It's amazing what a difference a good bike makes.  I don't think anyone really believes it until they experience it.  Anway, that was fun to do.  Later I did hill sprints on a treadmill.  That is never fun, but I'm always glad I did them "when they're done."

Marion--Thank you for that. I'm sure if you look around you could find a good inexpensive road bike. I've never really shopped for one; my husband always buys ours. A woman in our group says she found one on the internet for about $450. Good luck, keep your eyes open. But don't do a tri on a mountain bike if you can possibly help it; a road bike makes a BIG difference.

Thanks Cheryl- My tri friend pretty much was holding back the giggles when I told him about my bike. I'll be on the look out ;)
